- I have cerebral palsy and grew up in an era when people with disabilities had few options available to the. I was educated before they will launch on the books guaranteeing people with disabilities the right to education, therefore, my teachers did not understand that CP affects how the brain processes information or that I learned differently.
I grew up in a family where there was a lot of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse. Due to these two issues as a child I had low self-esteem. Only after entering college in studying both mental health and psychology did I learn to change my mindset and begin to build my self-esteem and self-worth.
I told an AAS in mental health, BS in psychology, and credits towards a MS in rehabilitation counseling. I attended Toastmasters and received both the CTM and ATM certifications. As a member of NSA-Georgia chapter I protest the paid in the mentoring program and put together a speech titled success is my only option! I attended the American seminar leaders Association University and hold the certified seminar leader certification. I attended the stores online training about Internet marketing.
I have old and my own business careerperformance Institute for 25 years because at the time companies were not hiring people with disabilities even though we had the rehabilitation act of 1973 but 12 years before ADA became law.
I use my personal experiences to help my clients in both life and career coaching. I do this with teleseminars, home study programs, webinars, mentoring programs, life and career coaching.
